Howdy folks! If you’re in D.C. on Saturday, May 2nd I’m speaking at Bloggerweek 2015, a networking mixer and unconference. Learn more about it here. I’ll be telling my personal story on how I turned myself into a brand after leaving newspapers and restarting my career online. I’m the morning speaker. My session starts at 9:30 a.m. Sign up for the conference here.
Sorry I haven’t been updating my page lately, but it’s for a good reason! I joined the staff of The Root last week as their newest associate editor. I will be writing, editing, recruiting and producing story packages for the African American interest news site. I’ve written for The Root off and on for years, so I’m really excited about finally joining the staff. Plus, my biffle Yesha Callahan and I get to be co-workers again! And isn’t that what really matters?
As always, thanks for your support!
