Prince, Baltimore #Rally4Peace

He said it was also a rally for getting a “piece” of that economic pie. Prince challenged the young people to become leaders and entrepreneurs. It was pretty awesome. Nothing like a motivational speech in the middle of a Prince concert BY PRINCE. I was at the concert with Yesha Callahan and we sat in the NOSEBLEEDS, scared for our lives because we were so high up. But we still had a great time.

It was an awesome two-hour extravaganza. He performed “1999” despite it no longer being that year (but the song is still fairly relevant!), he sang “Nothing Compares 2 U” (and I lost my mind temporarily) and it was a lot of fun. He even brought Marilyn Mosby, the state attorney prosecuting the Freddie Gray case out on stage. Doug E. Fresh got up and rapped, Miguel and Judith Hill sang. Such a fun show.

Check out Yesha’s report on the show for The Root.
