Sarah Palin Sez Good-Bye Alaska, Hello World

And kicks the press in the butt on the way out because … well, without her governorship she’s now just the lady who gets into fights with people.

She also took aim at the media, saying her replacement, Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell, “has a very nice family too, so leave his kids alone!”

And she told television cameras: “How about, in honor of the American soldier, you quit makin’ things up?”

This is what she does. And she’s good at it. She’s an Effie White, tried and true, and she may be gone, but she ain’t going.

More after the jump.

(AP) FAIRBANKS, Alaska — Sarah Palin stepped down Sunday as Alaska governor to write a book and build a right-of-center coalition, but she left her long-term political plans unclear and refused to address speculation she would seek a 2012 presidential bid.

Her first order of business as a private citizen is to speak Aug. 8 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California. She also wants to campaign for political candidates from coast to coast, and continue to speak her mind on the social networking site Twitter.

Oh boy! She’s going to Twitter. Bless her heart. Any bets on where Sarah: Palin and Tall will end up? TV show (that I won’t watch), radio gig (that I won’t listen to), online column (that I won’t read)? So many options for a woman I, for the life of me, can’t stand. Keep on rocking in the free world, you quitter!

I wish this meant she was going away but she isn’t. It also bums me out that she is making her first appearance on my birthday and giving publicity to one of my least favorite Presidents of my lifetime (though I am deeply in love with him compared to Bush… shoot many an old school 60’s era progressive said Bush made them long for Nixon, which speaks volumes)

She’s so divisive. Watch the video. She always has to praise for one group for being more patriotic than other people. And she’s constantly talking that Republican dibble. GOP strategy: Divide and Conquer.
