Obama on The Daily Show

In case you missed it … more Obama from the All Obama, All Day Show yesterday where Barack managed to be everywhere in Florida at once, got all “we are soooo awesome together” with former President Bill Clinton at a midnight rally, got his infomercial on seven networks, then went live from the infomercial seamlessly, THEN went on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart to crack a little wise and Friday he’ll be on The Situation Room with the Wolfman?

Breathtaking.

Oh, and in case they revised it some, this was the official statement from the McCain Campaign via Tucker Bounds on Obama’s commercial immediately after it aired Wednesday night:

As anyone who has bought anything from an infomercial knows, the sales-job is always better than the product. Buyer beware.

Awesome. Does this mean all McCain’s ads are lies too? Awesome. Thanks, Tucker. Glad to know you couldn’t find anything wrong with the commercial either.

  1. Interviews with Jon Stewart is always cringe TV, more so than Colbert. I had to stop watching when Stewart asked Obama about voting as a half-black/half-white person. I’m too squeamish when it comes to that sort of stuff.

  2. Oh hell that was my FAVORITE part of the whole interview! When Obama shows his sense of humor, which let’s face it he’s not known for, it’s great. He’s less of a Steve Urkel then.

  3. That was funny as hell and Obama seemed to really enjoy himself. I loved when he said he was in therapy so the white part wouldn’t stop him from voting for the right candidate. HYSTERICAL!

  4. Awww Draven, that was hands down the best part of the interview. Watch it again. You’ll see. He caught right on quickly and I loved how he held one arm with the other as if to say the white side would try to keep the black side from voting.I thought it was hilarious and needed, considering the entire, “he’s a better candidate but he’s BLACK!”, thing thats been going on during this campaign. How can anyone tell me that he and Michelle aren’t the kind of people you wouldn’t want to invite to dinner and hang out on the weekend with? I hate this word in this kind of context, but they seem so “real”.I voted Republican in 2000 and actually liked McCain back then but I just don’t get this from him and Cindy this time around. They have this creepiness surrounding them. That reeks of feeling entitled.

  5. Yeah, I took your advice, Serafina, and watched the whole thing. It was amusing. Obama is a funny person, who’s forced to play it serious understandably right now. Although you voted Repub in 2000, I won’t hold it against you. We’ve all done foolish things when we were young. Peace always

  6. Wait! Barack Obama is everywhere at once. Seamlessly. Composed. He isn’t human. OMG! He really IS the antichrist! I was wrong on my Wednesday post on my blog! Can I go and take back my early vote yesterday for Obama-Biden?Seriously, though, I just don’t get how any thinking person can possibly compare Obama to McCain and think anything other than “McCain should go retire to Sunrise, Florida already…”
