How Fascinating! Sean Hannity’s Charming Pastor!

Charming, as in — extremely ignorant and bigoted!

And as an added bonus, he’s an ignorant, bigoted black man! Nothing like telling poor people in New Orleans that they’re idiots as if they asked to be segregated onto the worst land in the most flood prone area and did not have the resources nor forewarning from the city to move. No, no. They were black and poor. It was all their fault that their government took days to respond. It’s their fault their government failed on a local, state and federal level. It’s their fault their government hadn’t fixed the levies. They made George W. not land there! Those awful, awful Negroes!

Oh and BTW, when will people stop acting surprised that the residents stayed behind during the storm? Many experts have pointed out that if the levies hadn’t broken the lower wards would not have been damaged to that extent. No one knew the levies would break. Everyone, federal government on down, was solely worried about the hurricane. It wasn’t until the levies were breached and broke that New Orleans turned into a giant disaster zone with panicked people running for higher ground. And who’s fault was it that the levees broke? The Army Corps of Engineers who knew they were faulty but, gasp, did nothing.

Gah. The ignorance of people. Here’s the video from The Young Turks. (Thanks to Uncle Ruckus for the link.)

It wasn’t the hurricane that destroyed new orleans, it was the flood caused by the broken levees. What does it matter if you left only to return and find that everything you ever owned was destroyed?
