Rick Santorum Is All Up In Your Elections, Stealing Your Non-Binding Delegates
Adding to the bizarreness of an already bizarre GOP race for a presidential nominee, Rick Santorum won three non-binding Republican contests in Minnesota, Missouri and Colorado. No one gets any delegates. (Missouri's contest was a "beauty pageant" the other 76 ethereal delegates up for grabs between Minnesota and Colorado are mired in some procedural gobbly-gook.) But more valuable than that, the winner gets an extended media narrative! Yes! Today is Rick Santorum's day to demand that people pay attention to him and his win and not "blah, blah why does everyone hate Mittens?"
But seriously, the press asks, "Why does everyone HATE Mittens?"
Is it because Trump-de-Dump-Dump-Dump endorsed him? That couldn't have helped. Is it because Tim Pawlenty's endorsement was worthless? Is it because he's a Mormon? Is it because he has off-shore accounts he uses as tax shelters for his money? Is it Ron Paul? Is it because every time he goes off script he says something that sounds completely out of touch and "elitist"?
Or was MSNBC's Ed Schultz right all along?
Unlike Newt "Epic Flameout" Gingrich, Santorum is a much more disciplined and reliable candidate. Can he win in a general? Hahahahahaha, probably not. But could he mount a real challenge to the increasingly beatable Mitt Romney? Maybe!

Oh please, oh please, can we have a Santorum nomination?! He'd be an even more unelectable choice than Gingrich -- which is really saying something.
Putting aside the fact is name is now a disgusting Internet joke ... I am compelled to say: Best of luck with that "Birth Control is Evil" campaign platform, Rick. That ought to really resonate with about 3% of the electorate. Unfortunately, the other 97% of the country will think you're a douchebag.
Santorum's win is not about Rick, but about Romney, just another mirror that shows that Republicans are not smitten with Mittens :)
I kinda feel bad for Romney, this gotta hurt his ego.
Great article, as always Snob.
