BET's "Don't Sleep," hosted by T. J. Holmes (Co-Written By Moi) Premiere's Tonight!
Just like the chocolate and peanut butter for which I nicknamed him, two people with nothing in common but journalism degrees and the great state of Arkansas, have finally come together to make a "delicious" TV show. Will you watch?
Check it out on BET, 11 p.m. EST/ 10 p.m. Central time.
Yes, Snobbinistas! It is finally time for BET's "Don't Sleep" with T. J. Holmes to premiere, and yours truly is among the show's writers. My and T. J.'s story is a grand story that gives false hope to actual insane stalkers everywhere, as I was not A) insane or B) a true stalker, but a girl who said T. J.'s name in a bathroom mirror three times until he appeared and gave me a job on his TV show.
In what was either the most brilliant or insane decision of both our careers (I like to think it was a little of both!), I'm now a full-time staffer on "Don't Sleep," where he must endure me calling him "West Memphis" all the time and cackling maniacally at my own witticisms.
The show is a great blend of hope and hype, political and pop, cultures both low and high coming together to create a storm of information and wit. Then it's all wrapped up nicely with a profound and punchy panel of our peers in the middle. The goal was to create something we could be proud of, that we would watch if we weren't the ones writing/producing/hosting the thing.
So, I hope you like it! We made it just for you!

Congrats!!!! You deserve this.
I don't have cable, so I won't be able to watch, but I'm sure it'll be fantastic!! Enjoy the premiere.
Congratulations. Well deserved.
I am so happy for you and your success...and now you get paid to kinda sorta stalk T.J.:}
(I say that with love!!)
I've watched the show all three nights so far and I have high hopes. First night was pretty much a bust - maybe nerves. Last two have been better. I hope to see more substance than fluff as I think that's the kind of show we need. I think the format probably needs some tweaking, but so far off to a good start.
Congratulations.
Danielle, congrats on the show.
Also, I guess a congrats to TJ and his wife...I'd heard she's pregnant, and then saw these photos online:

This is so amazing; I was following you when TJ was but an image on your vision board and now the vision has come to fruition. How exciting.
I so love T.J Holmes! His professionalism and he's not bad to look at! Lol. Congrats!
