It's The First of the Month! (Obama Photo Crack!)

Via White HouseYou know what that means? That means it's time to raid the official White House Flickr page for cute pictures of the Obamas! Duh. August is up!
Long-time readers will remember how back in the day when I was a cyber pirate, I used to throw up bootleg pictures of the Obamas ALL. THE. TIME! But, alas, can't afford the photos since I went legit. So I just have to wait until the first of the month, like a sucker, to check the official White House Flickr page to raid it for my favorite pictures. Thank goodness the Obamas like taking pictures of themselves!
There are no Malia photos this month (it's all Sasha). Love Sasha, but I love Malia too. She's, like, a billion feet tall now! She had one huge summer growth spurt.

You know I love the Obama crack. This is the kool-aid that all those Republicans and PUMAs were talking about. One thing though, is i'm not sure how I feel about BHO's mandals. I'm typically anti-mandal.

I hear you on the mandals, but from what little we see in these pics, at least his feet appear nice, and amply moisturized.

I've figured it out. Michelle looks her best when she's at either of the two extremes (roughly); glammed out and wearing her money in style, like in Spain, or super duper upper-middle class (even though she's rich) leisurely. She doesn't do that in-between level well, but the two poles are where she looks almost foine.

One more thing: Malia is going to be at least as tall as Michelle, if not taller. Probably 6'+.
Very nice father-daughter shots. They are priceless. That Sasha is such a cutiepie! She looks JUST LIKE her daddy! And Milia looks just like Michelle. They have a matching set.
Snob, I commend you for going ' legit', but I have to admit...I miss those Obama crack posts you used to give us.
I'm pretty confident that he loves both his daughters equally. But if pictures are any indication, it seems that he favours Sasha (they're always together).
@ james -um. preteens & teenagers normally avoid hanging out with Mom & Dad for any reason that does not involve money or feeding. jus sayin.

White folks -- even the Liberal Variety, *cough, OverEntitledTypes* -- just do not GET the importance of the intact black nuke family.
Not in the day to day. I mean, I know for a fact that it is a hot topic in the Academy, and at the Fed agencies what oversee education and incarceration and such like, but, when you get to the day to day? Uhhh no.
This is what truly confounds alot of white folks of all political and class persuasions -- How can these Obama's POSSIBLY be such High Achievers on the Pro Tip.....and also be good parents? And, now that we mention it, can the BLACKS ever really be good parents?
In fairness, juggling the two Careers, the respective families, and the kids is not easy for any couple in these times. But white folk do it ALL THE TIME....and so do black folk, of certain Means.
The big diff is that it is only that the black folk with the sensibility and financial wherewithal to pull this off who are hardly ever show in the sad, soggy MSM -- not since the Cosby Show died, and wasn't that like, a dozen years ago now?
Anyhoo.
I know POTUS and FLOTUS are not perfect.
But I have had the great good fortune to witness them, up close, with their children, during a Kiddie Theatrical performance in suburban DC last year. It was during the height of the H1N1 "scare," and yet, they were there, fully present, yukking it up with the rest of us, at the amateurish but no less impassioned antics of the kids on stage in Bethesda. (Malia and Sasha were performing on that Imagination Stage, and yes, 'tis true, they are darling -- just like everyone's kids. Oh, and even in May '09, it was evident that Malia is well on her way to being a Giantess.)
We love them because they are strong, smart, brave and not perfect. Like most parents.

I see Michelle made Barack get some jeans that fit. Bruster's ice cream is crazy. $3 cones pilled up with 1/4 gallon ice cream. It's not a game.
I miss the illegal crack, too, but prescription drugs will get you high as well.............

Looking at these pictures just makes me want to go home and see ol' Papa Snob. He's such a good daddy! Always supportive. Always with the good advice. Funny. Just a loving, stand-up, reliable, A-1 kind of guy. Loyal and true.

I love that the Obama daughters, are, well, CHILDREN. Not dressing and hoochies-in-training. Not dressing in anything where we say, ' she's too young for that'.

I think what I love the most about these pictures is that both Michelle and Malia are rocking a hairstyle I wear all the time <3 Yay middle class black people! Or, uh, in their case - rich people posing as middle class people. I can still dig it.
