Did Newark Mayor Cory Booker Come Dig Out Your Car?

Newark NJ Mayor Cory BookerBecause that's what he's been busy doing since that snow storm hit the East Coast. And he's answering your requests on the ol' Twitter! After the storm, the mayor has personally took to digging some individuals out who requested his help on Twitter, even throwing his back out in the process. That's more than what Jersey's governor Chris Christie is doing, as he spent Snowmaggedon II: The Snowening at Disney World.

More after the jump.

From Daily Intel:

Cory Booker is taking on the 2010 Tsnownami like a real man. Newark residents tweeting about their snow-related troubles are receiving direct replies from their mayor, who appears to be sending out workers and driving around shoveling people out himself. "Please DM me your phone number," he told one tweeter, who claimed to be stuck in his car at an intersection. "I will dig you out. Where are you?" he promised a woman who needed to make it to a medical procedure. One tweeter asked how Booker's back was doing this morning. "Thanks 4 asking, back killing me," Booker cheerily responded. "Breakfast: Advil and diet coke." How did he hurt his back? By lifting that Newark resident's car out of the snow.

I miss that show on Sundance that chronicled his journey to turn Newark around. I'd love an update on how things are going but glad to see he's still in office at least!
